Pala zločinačka ekipa Uskok je, nakon provedene istrage, podigao optužnicu protiv petorice osumnjičenih, među kojima je i MUP-ov informatičar Damir Osterman, zbog sumnji u odavanje tajnih podataka i namještanje natječaja za nabavku informatičke opreme. Pored Ostermana optužnicom su obuhvaćeni bivši pripadnik nekadašnje Protuobavještajne agencije (POA) Mario Frlan, Dinko Palac te privatni istražitelj i predsjednik Udruge privatnih detektiva Hrvatske Siniša Patačko. Osterman je od veljače 2019. do lipnja 2022. godine neovlašteno pristupao policijskim bazama podataka na zahtjev drugih okrivljenika. Time im je omogućio informacije o osobama protiv kojih se vode kriminalistička istraživanja, primjenjuju posebne dokazne radnje ili traže izlisti telekomunikacijskog prometa, čime je osujećivao policijske postupke i omogućavao osobama da izbjegnu istrage ili saznaju njihov tijek. Optužnica tereti Ostermana i za dogovor s vlasnikom optužene tvrtke Sinišom Patačkom oko namještanja javne nabave informatičke opreme. Osterman je kao voditelj projekta navodno prilagodio tehničke specifikacije i vrijednost nabave, omogućivši da Patačkova tvrtka bude jedini ponuditelj. Posao vrijedan preko 130.000 eura tako je dodijeljen toj tvrtki preko koje je potom, prema tvrdnjama tužiteljstva, isplaćeno preko 26.000 eura na račun tvrtke u kojoj je Osterman bio stvarni voditelj poslovanja te još gotovo 28.000 eura tvrtki u kojoj je Frlan bio odgovorna osoba.
