Turska zabranila uplovljavanje kruzera s gotovo 2.000 LGBT putnika


Turske vlasti zabranile su kruzeru "Scarlet Lady" da pristane u lukama Kušadasi i Istanbul, iako je dolazak bio planiran u sklopu desetodnevnog putovanja od Venecije do Atine.


Organizator putovanja, kompanija Atlantis Events, saopćio je da su lokalne vlasti otkazale pristajanje uz obrazloženje da je brod rezervisan za grupu "poznatu po ponašanjima nespojivim s tkivom našeg društva i našim moralnim vrijednostima". Zbog toga je ruta izmijenjena, pa će kruzer umjesto Turske posjetiti Kairo i grčki otok Kretu.


Na brodu se nalazi oko 1.900 putnika, među kojima je približno 1.100 gostiju iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država, dok ostali dolaze iz Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, Kanade, Australije i drugih zemalja. "Scarlet Lady" je u vlasništvu kompanije Virgin Voyages, koju podržava Richard Branson.


Predsjednik i izvršni direktor Atlantis Eventsa, Rich Campbell, izjavio je za CNN da se njihova kompanija prvi put u 36 godina poslovanja suočila s ovakvom odlukom.


– Prilično je šokantno. Obrazloženje je bilo jednostavno – riječ je o gej grupi – rekao je Campbell.


Dodao je kako smatra zabrinjavajućim da jedna država odlučuje kojim će turistima dozvoliti ulazak, a kojima neće.
