Man kann nur staunen, was die USDA auf die Beine gestellt hat! Ein sechstägiges Fest für Landwirte aus der ganzen Nation, gesponsert von Unternehmensgiganten und begleitet von fröhlichen Protesten der Mitarbeiter. Wer braucht schon einen reibungslosen Ablauf, wenn man ein schickes Bauernmarkt-Event hat, bei dem die Angestellten gleichzeitig mit Schildern durch die Gegend laufen können?

Die ersten drei Tage waren dem Essen gewidmet, und während die Landwirte ihre frischen Produkte anpriesen, konnten die Mitarbeiter des USDA nicht anders als auf die Missstände hinzuweisen, die für einen „organisierten“ Ablauf nötig wären. Es ist fast so, als ob man beim Grillen eine Brandrede über die Gefahren von Übergewicht hält – die Ironie könnte nicht dicker sein!

Und während Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins fröhlich über die wunderbaren Errungenschaften des USDA plauderte, könnte man meinen, dass die Protestler gerade aus einer anderen Realität geflüchtet sind. „Hey, schaut mal, hier sind unsere Gurken und das ist unser Unmut über die Stellenstreichungen!“, schien die Botschaft der USDA-Mitarbeiter zu sein. Ein echter Hit, der bestimmt für viele Lacher sorgte.

Es ist natürlich kein Zufall, dass Corporate Sponsoren auf dieser Veranstaltung schimmern wie die glänzenden Äpfel, die neben den frisch geernteten Tomaten lagen. Wer könnte schon an der Integrität der Landwirtschaft zweifeln, wenn das Event von der gleichen Firma gesponsert wird, die bei der letzten Skandalmeldung über pestizidverseuchte Produkte in den Schlagzeilen war? Ein Hoch auf die Transparenz – oder vielleicht eher ein „Hoch die Tassen“ für einen guten alten Marketing-Gag!

Und was ist mit den eigentlichen Landwirten? Die waren natürlich auch da, um ihre Produkte zu verkaufen und dabei zuzusehen, wie ihre harte Arbeit von den Corporate-Sponsoren in den Hintergrund gedrängt wird. Ein klassisches Beispiel dafür, wie man aus der Not eine Tugend macht – oder wie man aus einer Protestaktion eine Werbeveranstaltung kreiert.

Am Ende des Tages bleibt nur eine Frage: Wird das nächste Event zur Unterstützung der Landwirte auch gleichzeitig eine Plattform für die nächsten großen Unternehmenssponsoren sein, oder werden die Angestellten beim nächsten Mal einfach mit einem großen „Willkommen in der Realität“ begrüßt?

Aber hey, wer braucht schon eine gerechte Landwirtschaft, wenn man auf einem Bauernmarkt mit einem Side-Event für Proteste prahlen kann? Schließlich ist das Leben ein einziges großes Fest – solange man die Realität einfach ignoriert!

Ah, les fans de Blizzard, toujours en quête de cette magie qui a disparu quelque part entre le dernier patch de Diablo et la dernière extension de Hearthstone. Mais attendez! Qu'est-ce que c'est que cette nouvelle? Un événement crossover? Oh, quelle surprise! Sauf que, bien sûr, il y a un petit détail qui semble avoir échappé à tout le monde : l'art promotionnel est probablement généré par une intelligence artificielle. Encore une fois!

Il semblerait que Blizzard, dans sa quête effrénée pour économiser quelques euros sur les artistes, ait décidé de faire appel à un algorithme. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, chers fans, parce que les signes de cet art "génial" sont là, brillants et clairs comme le jour! Qui aurait pensé que les visages déformés et les proportions étranges étaient le nouveau standard de beauté? Franchement, un peu de slop artistique, c’est ce qui manquait à nos jeux préférés!

Et vraiment, qui a besoin d’art authentique quand on peut avoir des images qui ressemblent à une mauvaise hallucination d’un ordinateur en surchauffe? Les fans de Diablo et Hearthstone ont pris d’assaut les réseaux sociaux, se plaignant de ces créations douteuses. Mais, je me demande, ne sont-ils pas en train de se battre pour une cause perdue? Après tout, qui a besoin de passion, de créativité et de talent quand on a un logiciel capable de "créer" en un clic?

Peut-être que nous devrions remercier Blizzard pour cette innovation. Pensez-y! Plus besoin de budget pour des artistes, plus de délais de production, et surtout, plus de surprises désagréables quand on se rend compte que l’art de l’IA a encore une fois mal tourné. C'est presque comme si Blizzard disait : "Regardez, nous avons un budget réduit, mais au moins, nous avons des algorithmes!"

Alors, chers amis, levons nos verres à cette nouvelle ère de l’art! À l’art qui ne respire pas, qui n’inspire pas, mais qui, à coup sûr, nous rappellera toujours que même un ordinateur peut faire mieux que certaines créations douteuses. Qui sait, peut-être qu’un jour, nous pourrons jouer à un jeu où l’art est fait par un véritable artiste, mais d’ici là, profitons de ce chef-d'œuvre technologique!

En attendant, continuons à nous plaindre sur Twitter et Facebook, parce que, comme tout bon fan, notre devoir est de protester… tout en continuant à acheter chaque extension dès sa sortie. Après tout, qui peut résister à un bon crossover, même si l'art qui l'accompagne ressemble à un accident de voiture sur le plan artistique?

Dozens detained after protesters in Amsterdam

Dozens of pro-Palestinian demonstrators have been detained by police in Amsterdam after defying a ban on public protests in the Dutch capital.
Hundreds gathered in Dam Square on Sunday, calling for an end to the conflict in Gaza and expressing dissent towards the ban.
Demonstrations were temporarily banned by the mayor after Israeli football fans were targeted in what she called "hit-and-run" attacks on Thursday night after a match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam.
The Israeli government has advised its citizens to "categorically avoid" Israeli sports and cultural events while abroad - specifically the football match between France and Israel in Paris on Thursday.
Authorities say Thursday's attacks - which caused five people to be hospitalised - were motivated by antisemitism as the fans were sought out across the city.
The violence - which was condemned by leaders in Europe, the US and in Israel - has led to at least 62 arrests.
The outcry was exacerbated by the attacks occurring on the eve of commemorations of the Nazi pogroms against German Jews that took place in November 1938.
Three-quarters of Jewish people in the Netherlands were murdered during the Holocaust in World War Two.
Amsterdam police said there had also been trouble the night before the match. Police chief Peter Holla said there had been incidents "on both sides", including Israeli supporters removing a Palestinian flag from a wall and setting it alight, and attacking a taxi.
The city's Mayor Femke Halsema announced a ban on public assembly on Friday lasting at least until the end of the weekend, deeming the city a "high-risk security area".
But protesters on Sunday argued they should be free to voice their disapproval of Israel's actions in Gaza and the actions of the Maccabi supporters.

"This protest has nothing to do with antisemitism," Alexander van Stokkum, one of the demonstrators, told the AFP news agency on Sunday. "It is against Israeli hooligans who were destroying our city."
Others told a Reuters journalist: "We refuse to let the charge of antisemitism be weaponised to suppress Palestinian resistance."
The news agency reported that more than 100 people were detained for attending the protest. Police in Amsterdam confirmed there had been arrests, but have yet to say how many.
Following the protest ban, Dutch activist Frank van der Linde applied for an urgent permit so Sunday's demonstration could go ahead.
On X, he said that he wanted to protest what he described as "the genocide in Gaza", adding: "We will not let our right to demonstrate be taken away."
Mr Van der Linde was overruled by Amsterdam's district court, which wrote on Sunday that "the mayor has rightly determined that there is a ban on demonstrating in the city this weekend".
Dutch national newspaper De Telegraaf reports Mr Van der Linde was among those arrested.
The Israeli embassy in the Netherlands earlier warned Israelis in Amsterdam to avoid Dam square, saying the event "may flare up into significant violent incidents".
Israel's National Security Council has told its citizens to avoid public demonstrations "of any kind" and conceal "anything that could identify you as Israeli/Jewish", citing Thursday's attacks.
"Preparations to harm Israelis have been identified in several European cities, including Brussels (Belgium), major cities in the UK, Amsterdam (Netherlands), and Paris," it claimed.
Paris's police chief has pledged that 4,000 officers would be deployed in the stadium and across the French capital for the Nations League match on 14 November.
