Nizozemska je od 1. kolovoza 2026. zabranila građanima kupnju, posjedovanje i uporabu pirotehnike kategorija F2 i F3. Ovo je veliki korak u zaštiti ljudi, životinja i okoliša! Ujedno je snažna poruka drugim državama da iživljavanje dijela građana ispucavanjem bučne pirotehnike, koja svake godine donosi ozljede, strah, buku, požare i onečišćenje, nije nešto što trebamo tolerirati kao neizbježan dio proslave Nove godine. Hrvatska je već zabranila petarde i redenike. Sada ima priliku napraviti sljedeći korak i zabraniti svu pirotehniku kategorija F2 i F3 čiji je glavni učinak snažna eksplozija! Nizozemska je donijela zabranu kako bi smanjila ozljede, materijalnu štetu, nerede i nasilje povezane s uporabom pirotehnike, ali i negativne posljedice za ljude, životinje i okoliš. Posebno je istaknuto da privatna uporaba pirotehnike tijekom novogodišnje noći stvara ozbiljne sigurnosne probleme i veliko opterećenje za hitne službe. Novi sustav zato više ne pokušava izdvajati pojedine „problematične” proizvode unutar kategorija F2 i F3. Građanima su cijele te kategorije nedostupne. Ostaje samo F1, odnosno pirotehnika vrlo niskog rizika i zanemarive razine buke. Profesionalni vatrometi i dalje se mogu održavati uz propisane uvjete, a za određene organizirane novogodišnje proslave moguće je dobiti posebno lokalno izuzeće. Hrvatska je od 2021. zabranila petarde i redenike kategorija F2 i F3 za osobne potrebe, što je bio važan pomak u zaštiti osobito djece i životinja. Međutim, građanima je i dalje dopuštena druga pirotehnika tih kategorija koja može proizvoditi vrlo snažne detonacije. Nije logično zabraniti jedan proizvod zbog buke, a dopustiti druge koji proizvode jednako snažan ili čak jači prasak, i to samo zato što se ne zovu petarda, nego npr. zračna bomba. Ako želimo smanjiti buku i opasne posljedice pirotehnike, nužno je zakonski zabraniti i svu ostalu jednako bučnu i razornu pirotehniku! Ranije smo MUP-u predložili izmjene Zakona o eksplozivnim tvarima te proizvodnji i prometu oružja kojima bi se zabranila sva pirotehnička sredstva kategorija F2 i F3 čiji je glavni učinak eksplozija i stvaranje snažnog zvuka, neovisno o njihovu nazivu ili obliku. https://www.prijatelji-zivotinja.hr/index.hr.php?id=5297
