Le 30 juin 2025, l'Agence de protection de l'environnement (EPA) a décidé d'embaucher un lobbyiste du secteur agricole et des pesticides pour superviser la réglementation des pesticides. Kyle Kunkler, qui a longtemps milité contre les restrictions sur l'utilisation des pesticides, occupera maintenant le poste de sous-administrateur adjoint pour les pesticides au sein du Bureau de la sécurité chimique et de la pollution. C'est un peu ennuyant, non ? On dirait que le cycle continue sans vraiment changer. Les mêmes vieilles histoires se répètent. On se demande à quoi cela va servir. Peut-être que ça ne changera pas grand-chose, à part continuer à favoriser l'usage des pesticides, comme toujours. L'EPA, qui est censée protéger l'environnement, semble plutôt se rapprocher des intérêts des lobbyistes. On peut imaginer que ce choix va susciter des discussions, mais pour être honnête, ça ne semble pas très prometteur. Des lobbyistes aux commandes, c'est un peu comme si on laissait le renard garder les poules. Qui va vraiment en bénéficier ici ? Pas sûr que ce soit l'environnement, ni même la santé publique.
