Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is taking movement mechanics to the next level, and for players who practice in bo7 bot lobbies, these updates make mastering fluid movement more rewarding than ever. Treyarch’s design director, Mattz, recently detailed the sweeping changes coming to sliding, diving, wall-jumping, and mantling—all aimed at keeping combat fast-paced yet balanced.

In the beta, players needed the Dexterity perk to aim down sights (ADS) while sliding or diving. Now, Treyarch is making that ability default for everyone, allowing ADS while moving without relying on Dexterity. The perk still increases sprint-to-fire and slide-to-fire speed, but now, it’s purely an enhancement instead of a requirement. This change means players can experiment freely in both public matches and private lobbies without losing mobility advantages.

Treyarch also adjusted the slide’s speed and distance to create a more grounded gunfight experience. Movement will still feel smooth and responsive, but without turning slides into the dominant entry tactic. Mantling has also been reworked, ensuring every climb and vault maintains a consistent speed—no more sluggish animations breaking the combat rhythm.

These refinements collectively make Black Ops 7’s movement system one of the most polished in the franchise. Whether practicing new slide-cancel chains or wall-jump strategies in bo7 bot lobbies, players will notice the seamless transition between actions, promoting skill-based engagements and creativity.

In the end, these upgrades reflect Treyarch’s dedication to evolving traditional mechanics without alienating core fans. Movement now complements strategy instead of overshadowing it—an ideal foundation for competitive multiplayer.
